The Lively Celebration of Indonesian Independence Day Competitions: Fun, Cohesive, and Full of Togetherness
In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, our company hosted a series of exciting competitions involving all employees. Right from the start, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, joy, and a strong sense of togetherness. More than just a friendly competition, this moment provided a space to draw closer to one another, strengthen friendships, and celebrate independence in a warm and uplifting way.
A variety of traditional Independence Day games brightened the event, ranging from the biscuit-eating contest, sarong relay, spoon-and-marble race, and ball-in-a-cup challenge, to the Pictionary-style picture-guessing game that never failed to spark laughter. Prior to this, the company had also held chess and billiards tournaments, which were met with overwhelming enthusiasm, showcasing both sportsmanship and camaraderie among the participants.
Every corner of the event was alive with excitement: echoing cheers of support, infectious laughter, and thrilling moments that left a lasting impression. Behind all the fun lies a profound message: that togetherness is far more valuable than any prize. These games served as a bridge to deepen connections among colleagues, foster teamwork, and create a warmer, more harmonious work environment.
Through this series of activities, the spirit of Indonesia’s Independence Day truly came to life within the company. We were reminded that unity, cooperation, and solidarity are the keys to achieving shared goals—just as this nation once achieved its independence through the spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong).
Because ultimately, independence is not merely about celebration, but about how we nurture our brotherhood and step forward together toward a brighter future.
